Café Owner Terms
These terms apply when you claim or manage a café profile, publish an offer, or use MR MATCHA CLUB’s café-owner tools.
1. You are authorized
You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are authorized to act for the café or business you claim. Do not claim a business you do not represent. MR MATCHA CLUB may ask for reasonable proof and may pause or revoke access if ownership or authorization is disputed.
2. Keep business information accurate
You are responsible for information you provide about your café, including offer terms, dates, prices, availability, menu details, restrictions, and redemption instructions. Correct important mistakes promptly.
3. Missing café requests
If your café is not listed, you may request a new listing. Your submission stays pending until MR MATCHA CLUB reviews it. We may correct obvious spelling or address formatting, merge duplicate listings, or link your request to an existing café before verification. We will keep the name you originally submitted in our review record. A requested café is not “Verified Café” until we approve the listing and your business connection.
4. Your offers are your business’s offers
Your café is responsible for honoring a valid published offer according to the terms shown to customers. Include important limits before publishing, such as participating location, dates, one-per-customer limits, exclusions, or whether an offer is in-store only. MR MATCHA CLUB is not the seller and does not promise that a customer or café will complete a transaction.
5. Be truthful
Do not publish false, deceptive, misleading, fake, or unsupported advertising claims. Do not create fake scarcity, fake discounts, deceptive before-and-after pricing, unsupported health or medical claims, or promotions that are illegal where your business operates.
6. Your content and brand
You keep ownership of your business name, logos, photos, menu information, offer copy, and other content. You give MR MATCHA CLUB a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, store, reproduce, format, display, distribute, process, and analyze that content as reasonably needed to operate, improve, and promote the Club, including café discovery and Ask MR MATCHA features. You confirm that you have permission to use everything you submit.
7. What “Verified Café” means
The badge means MR MATCHA CLUB has taken steps to verify that an authorized business representative controls the café profile. It does not mean MR MATCHA CLUB guarantees, endorses, inspects, rates, or certifies the café, its food, its safety, or its offers.
8. Community trust, visit codes, and disclosure
Eligible verified cafés may receive tools to generate or rotate a café visit code that customers can optionally use when submitting a Pour. A successful code match may create a “Verified Pour” signal, but it is not a quality endorsement and does not let the café control the customer’s opinion. Do not distribute codes for the purpose of fabricating visits, exchange benefits for undisclosed positive feedback, or ask staff to pose as independent customers. Official café content and paid or sponsored content must remain clearly labeled. Paid promotion does not purchase a higher organic community ranking.
9. New Pours, recipe updates, and cup intelligence
Café owners may publish factual launch information for a new drink and may mark when a recipe has been materially updated. Owner-supplied launch information is labeled as business-originated content. A Recipe Updated marker does not erase, alter, or transfer community feedback; it creates a new time period so newer cup-level patterns can be understood separately when enough credible activity exists. Community-derived signals such as Known For, Would Pour Again, taste patterns, saves, and trend direction are calculated by MR MATCHA CLUB and cannot be edited or purchased by a café owner. Private owner insights are informational and may be incomplete or change as new activity arrives.
10. Ask MR MATCHA, menus, and AI recommendations
Information you provide about your café—including menu items, descriptions, availability, signature drinks, seasonal items, and other business details—may be used by Ask MR MATCHA to help customers understand what you offer and decide what to order. MR MATCHA CLUB may combine owner-supplied information with Club activity and current public information when generating recommendations or answering questions such as what is popular. Owner-supplied information does not let a café purchase or control organic popularity, community sentiment, or recommendation ranking, and MR MATCHA CLUB does not guarantee that any particular item will be recommended or how often it will appear. AI-generated answers can be incomplete or incorrect, so your café remains responsible for keeping the information you provide accurate and for confirming important menu, ingredient, allergen, price, availability, and offer details. Paid or sponsored content must remain clearly identified and separate from organic recommendation signals.
11. Moderation and safety
MR MATCHA CLUB may use automated safety checks and human review for owner-submitted text and images. Certain café cover or profile photos and other eligible submissions may be processed by a third-party safety provider such as OpenAI before they become public. Unsafe content may be blocked, and MR MATCHA CLUB may hide or remove an offer, suspend owner access, revoke verification, or resolve competing claims when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect users, investigate reports, address fraud or impersonation, or comply with law. See the Privacy notice for more information about automated processing. We will not sell removal of legitimate criticism or promise favorable organic placement.
12. Customer information
Do not use the owner tools to collect sensitive customer information. The current owner tools do not require you to receive customer passwords, payment-card numbers, medical information, or government IDs through MR MATCHA CLUB.
13. Account and magic-link security
Keep private sign-in links private. Tell MR MATCHA CLUB if you believe an owner email or access link has been compromised. Do not try to access another business’s dashboard or bypass security controls.
14. Service changes
Owner tools may change or experience downtime. Features such as offers, analytics, paid promotion, or payments may have additional terms if added later. If MR MATCHA CLUB starts charging businesses, pricing and any additional commercial terms will be shown before the business agrees to them.
15. Ending owner access
You may stop using the owner tools. MR MATCHA CLUB may suspend or revoke access for violations, fraud, ownership disputes, security concerns, or legal requirements. Public community content about a café does not automatically disappear when owner access ends.
16. General responsibility
Each side remains responsible for its own conduct and legal obligations. Nothing in these terms removes rights or responsibilities that applicable law says cannot be waived or limited.
