Age

MR MATCHA CLUB is intended for people age 13 and older. Do not use the community posting features if you are under 13.

What belongs here

Share experiences you actually had, ask genuine questions, add useful replies, and talk about matcha, coffee, tea, boba, cafés, recipes, culture, and related topics. Positive and negative opinions are both welcome when they are honest and based on your experience.

Photos and rights

Upload only photos and other material you created or have permission to share. Do not upload private documents, personal contact information, someone else's copyrighted promotional content, or images of people in circumstances where you do not have permission to post them.

Keep people safe

Do not post threats, incitement or praise of serious violence, violent-extremist or terrorist recruitment or attack-planning content, targeted harassment or bullying, hateful attacks or dehumanizing abuse, stalking, impersonation, scams or phishing, doxxing, graphic gore, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual exploitation, sexual content involving minors, passwords, private addresses, financial information, or other sensitive personal information. Do not encourage violence or dangerous conduct, pressure another person to harm or kill themselves, or use the Club to facilitate serious illegal harm. Discussion of news, prevention, recovery, history, or condemnation is not automatically a violation merely because it mentions a sensitive topic.

Safety checks before publishing

Text and certain images may be checked automatically before they become public, including through third-party safety technology such as OpenAI's moderation service. Clear severe safety violations may be blocked before publication and the sender may see a notice explaining that the submission may violate the Club Guidelines. Content that needs context may be held privately for staff review instead of appearing immediately. Automated systems can make mistakes, so reports and staff review remain part of the safety process. Talking about prevention, asking for help, ordinary disagreement, or criticizing a drink or café is not automatically a violation.

Spam and manipulation

Do not flood the Club, repeatedly post the same or nearly identical message, manipulate likes or reports, misrepresent a business relationship, create deceptive reviews, or use the community primarily for unsolicited advertising. Do not choose or use a Club @username to impersonate another person or business, falsely suggest an official relationship, or evade a restriction. MR MATCHA CLUB may reserve, restrict, or rename usernames when reasonably needed to prevent confusion, impersonation, abuse, or rights violations. Posting may be temporarily limited when one pseudonymous browser repeatedly floods, spams, or attempts severe rule violations. Businesses cannot pay to remove legitimate criticism or buy a higher organic score.

Trust signals and disclosure

MR MATCHA CLUB is built around real Pours and useful behavior rather than star-rating campaigns. If you mark a drink Tried, you may be asked whether you would pour it again. Optional Verified Pour signals can help show that a café visit code matched; they do not prove that an opinion is correct or positive. Do not share or misuse café visit codes to fake visits. Business-originated posts and sponsored content must be clearly disclosed. Sponsored content does not buy a higher organic Trending position.

Ask MR MATCHA and AI-assisted recommendations

Ask MR MATCHA is a decision aid, not a verified review, endorsement, or guarantee. Questions and menu or drink images you choose to submit may be processed by AI service providers as described in the Privacy notice. Recommendations may use café or menu information, MR MATCHA CLUB activity, and current public information when available, and automated answers can be incomplete or wrong. Do not use Ask MR MATCHA to fabricate reviews, impersonate a café, manipulate popularity signals, or submit private or sensitive material. Confirm important menu, ingredient, allergy, price, hours, and availability details directly with the café.

Verified cafés and offers

Only authorized business representatives may claim a café or publish official café offers. Offers must be accurate, clearly state important limits, and must not use fake discounts, deceptive scarcity, unsupported health claims, impersonation, or material the business does not have permission to use. “Verified Café” means profile control was verified; it is not a quality endorsement.

Your own content

Because regular participation does not require a customer account, the Club uses a private pseudonymous browser identifier to recognize content created from that browser. If you choose a Club @username, it may be associated with that browser identity so the same public username can appear across eligible Club activity. When available, you may delete your own Pours, regular posts, replies, Journal comments, and Club Chat messages. That permission does not let you delete anyone else’s content, and clearing browser data or changing browsers or devices may prevent the Club from recognizing older activity or the browser-linked username.

Reporting and moderation

Use Report when something needs staff attention. A report does not automatically remove content. MR MATCHA CLUB may keep, hold, hide, delete, restore, or restrict content or visitors based on these guidelines, safety, legal requirements, and the integrity of the community.

Journal and café information

Journal stories are reviewed before publication because they become more permanent editorial/discovery content. Contributors may submit up to five photos, publish under their Club @username or Anonymous, and optionally provide public creator links such as Instagram, TikTok, or a website. A private contact email, if supplied, is for review questions or updates and is not published. A pending Journal submission may be withdrawn from the same recognized browser identity; after publication, publishing and removal are controlled by MR MATCHA CLUB, although the contributor can contact us to request a change or removal. Café sourcing, origin, and menu information should not be presented as verified unless there is a reliable source.

Copyright and removal requests

If you believe content on MR MATCHA CLUB infringes your rights or exposes private information, contact mrmatcha@mrmatcha.com with the URL or enough detail to locate the content and an explanation of the issue. We may remove or restrict access while reviewing a request.
